The Conference Hall at Faculty of Business witnessed today, Monday, the activities of the expanded training symposium, “How to Become a Banker in the Era of Digital Transformation & Investment Funds in the Banking Sector”, which was organized in cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr.
The symposium was organized for the second time in response to students’ strong interest and high demand, and as part of the commitment to activating strategic partnerships with leading banking institutions in order to prepare students for the labor market.
The event was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Al-Sayyed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Ibrahim Obaid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; under supervision of Dr. Rehab Hashem, Director of the Alumni Follow-up Unit.
It was presented by Ms. Mai Awwad, Activities and Events Officer at the Financial Inclusion Sector of Banque Misr, who delivered an interactive presentation on the technological and professional skills required to keep pace with the era of digital transformation in banking. She also provided a comprehensive explanation of the mechanisms of investment funds and asset management in the banking sector.
The symposium provided a valuable opportunity for students of Faculty of Business at Tanta University and Faculty of Business at Tanta National University to communicate directly with experts from the Central Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr. This contributed to enhancing their professional skills and opening new horizons for understanding the requirements of the modern banking labor market and how to prepare for it with skills that keep pace with global developments.
