Online Participation from the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Business Takes Part in the Informational Symposium on Fulbright Scholarships


   As part of strengthening international communication and promoting scientific research, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of Faculty of Business, participated today, Monday, in the virtual informational symposium organized by the Fulbright Commission in Egypt to discuss scholarship opportunities for study and research in the United States of America.
   The symposium activities were hosted from the Dean’s Office via video conference technology, in attendance of Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, along with a number of academic staff, assistant staff, and researchers from the faculty.
   The virtual symposium featured the participation of Prof. Maggi Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt, and her team, where they presented various scholarship opportunities available to Egyptian universities. These included:
•    Master’s degree scholarships and joint supervision programs for postgraduate students in various disciplines 
•    Postdoctoral research grants for academic staff to conduct advanced research at U.S. universities 
•    Professional and language programs, such as the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship and the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program 
   Prof. Yasser Al-Garf emphasized during the session that the faculty is keen on leveraging digital technologies to facilitate access for researchers and academic staff to international opportunities. He noted that participation in such informational events aims to enhance researchers’ competencies and simplify application procedures for prestigious scholarships that contribute to improving the international ranking of the university.
   For her part, Prof. Dina Abdel Hady explained that the symposium provided comprehensive answers regarding application procedures and how to prepare competitive research proposals, noting that the faculty continues to provide full technical support to all applicants interested in these programs.
