Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Department at Faculty of Business organized a specialized scientific workshop entitled “Building a Digital Academic Reputation” in the Statistics Council Hall at the faculty. The event witnessed distinguished participation from academic staff, researchers, and postgraduate students, reflecting the ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the skills of academic staff and researchers.
The workshop was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of the Faculty.
The event was attended by Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and was delivered by Dr. Mustafa Darwish, Lecturer at Faculty of Science.
During the workshop, Dr. Mustafa Darwish addressed several key strategic topics, including:
• Methods for building a professional digital academic identity in the online environment.
• Strategies for enhancing scientific impact and increasing the visibility of scholarly output through various research platforms.
• Effective use of modern digital tools to support academic publishing and foster global scholarly communication.
In his remarks, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf emphasized that the faculty places great importance on empowering researchers and postgraduate students with the latest scientific and technological tools. He noted that organizing such workshops aligns with the comprehensive strategy to promote research excellence and strengthen the academic standing of its researchers at both the national and international levels.
For her part, Prof. Dina Abdel Hady highlighted the growing importance of digital academic reputation in the research landscape of the faculty, noting that it plays a crucial role in showcasing distinguished scientific contributions and expanding opportunities for academic and research collaboration with international institutions. She stressed that a successful researcher today relies not only on the quality of their research but also on their ability to present and promote their scholarly work professionally through specialized digital platforms.
The workshop concluded with exceptional engagement from attendees, who praised the relevance and contemporary nature of the topic as well as its practical applications. Participants emphasized the value in developing their research skills and enhancing their academic competencies in line with global developments in higher education and scientific research.
