In Attendance of Faculty Dean, Organizing an Awareness Symposium Entitled “How to Protect Our Youth from the Danger of Addiction” at Faculty of Business


   Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at Faculty of Business organized an educational awareness symposium entitled “How to Protect Our Youth from the Danger of Addiction”. It was held today at 12:00 p.m. in the Conference Hall.
   The event was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, Tanta University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, with the attendance of Prof. Yasser El-Garf, Faculty Dean, and Prof. Hanea’ Mahariq, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, under supervision of Dr. Amr Abdel Naby, Director of Crisis and Disaster Management Unit.
   The symposium was delivered by Prof. Bade’a Ali Al-Tamlawy, Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence, Former Dean of Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies for Girls in Alexandria, and Vice President of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates in Gharbia; and Dr. Hassan Mohammed Eid, Lecturer of Comparative Jurisprudence at Faculty of Sharia and Law in Tanta, Member of the Board of Directors of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates in Gharbia, and Student Activities Coordinator at Al-Azhar University (Northern Region).
   The symposium addressed several key themes. The speakers reviewed the effects of drugs and synthetic narcotics, and the dangers of using substances that lead to addiction. Attention was given to the factors that push youth towards addiction, as well as methods of building psychological resilience to confront them.
   The symposium emphasized the role of the family, society, and educational institutions in protecting youth, while also highlighting the importance of raising awareness among youth about the destructive effects of these substances on their health and future.
