Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of Faculty of Business, visited the headquarters of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt (Gharbia Sector) to attend the launch of the intensive training program organized by the “Nile Pioneers” Unit for the faculty students within the framework of activating field partnerships with major banking institutions. He was accompanied by Prof. Ibrahim Obeid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Rehab Hashem, Director of the Alumni Follow-up Unit, in the presence of senior officials from the Agricultural Bank of Egypt in Gharbia.
This program is distinguished by being held entirely within the “Nile Pioneers” units at the bank, allowing students to experience a real banking environment. The training workshops cover key topics including entrepreneurship and financial inclusion, fundamentals of building business projects and awareness of banking services, banking security, awareness of fraud methods and how to prevent them, banking operations, financial statement analysis and identifying financing gaps from a banking perspective, and developing profitable business models. The program also includes training on the well-known Business Model Canvas, as well as practical simulations using the Micro Business Game technology to simulate small business management.
For his part, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf emphasized that his presence at the bank reflects strong support for students, noting that training in real workplaces is the golden key to preparing graduates who can immediately compete in the banking sector. He added that the program aims to professionally qualify trainees for careers in banking and introduce them to the developmental role of the “Nile Pioneers” initiative in enhancing productivity and the national economy.
For his part, Prof. Ibrahim Obeid stated that this collaboration with the Nile Pioneers initiative and the Agricultural Bank aims to transform students’ ideas into tangible projects that support the national economy, while equipping them with the technical skills needed to keep pace with digital transformation in the banking sector.
The program runs for five weeks and targets more than 100 students from Faculty of Business, Tanta University, as well as students from the Faculty of Business at Tanta National University.
