Among the Top 800 Universities Worldwide, Tanta University Achieves a Historic Milestone and Appears in the 2026 Times Subject Rankings in Business and Economics


   In an unprecedented academic and historic achievement, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of Faculty of Business at Tanta University, congratulated the faculty community, including academic staff, researchers, and assistant staff, on the first and distinguished appearance in the field of Business and Economics within the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026. Tanta University successfully secured a position within the 801–1000 band globally.
   Prof. Yasser Al-Garf affirmed that this inclusion among the world top 800 universities in this discipline represents a significant milestone in the academic and research journey of both the University and the Faculty. He noted that this achievement reflects the ambitious plans of the university to attain global recognition, emphasizing that this success is the result of institutional effort and close integration among researchers and academic staff.
   In the same context, Faculty Dean stressed that the faculty administration places great importance on supporting the research ecosystem, encouraging international publication, and developing postgraduate programs in line with international standards. He added that, in the upcoming phase, the faculty aims to sustain this success by increasing scientific output, enhancing the quality of published research, and expanding international cooperation through broader research partnerships with leading global universities and institutions.
   Prof. Al-Garf concluded by emphasizing that this achievement places a responsibility on the faculty to maintain this high level of excellence and continue contributing to the academic and research community.
   For her part, Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, explained that the gaining such prestigious international ranking is the culmination of the outstanding scientific efforts exerted by the academic staff, particularly in the field of international research publication in globally indexed journals. She added that this achievement has directly contributed to strengthening research performance indicators and enhancing the international academic reputation of the faculty.
