Under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, the activities of the 19th Scout and Guide Festival were launched at the Rover Scouts’ grounds at Sibirbay Campus, amid strong official attendance and distinguished participation from Faculty of Business.
The festival was inaugurated by Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. The events witnessed notable attendance from the leadership of Faculty of Business, headed by Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Tariq Radwan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, along with the Student Welfare Department team at the faculty, who supervised the organization and preparation of the participating rover delegation of the faculty.
The event was also attended by a number of deans and vice deans of various faculties, scouting leaders, Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Qassir, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare at the University.
In his speech, Vice President of the University emphasized that the university administration places student activities at the top of its priorities, believing that true education shapes character as much as it builds knowledge. He added that student activities are the real area where talents are refined and leadership spirit is developed, noting that scouting activities are placed at the forefront of these activities as a unique platform for developing life skills.
For his part, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Faculty Dean, expressed his pride in the honorable appearance of the rover scouts, affirming the full support of the faculty for all activities that contribute to developing students’ leadership and practical skills.
The events concluded with an inspection tour by the Vice President of the University, the deans, and vice deans of the faculties to the rover camps, where everyone praised the outstanding organization and the high level of enthusiasm of the participating students.
