Prof. Yasser El-Garf, Dean of Faculty of Business Tanta University, held an expanded meeting this morning with heads of administrative departments to discuss several key issues as part of ongoing efforts to monitor administrative and academic operations in line with university directives.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of the latest administrative developments, with a primary focus on energy conservation and student awareness. In line with discussions from the recent session of Tanta University Council, Faculty Dean outlined implementation mechanisms to reduce energy consumption across buildings and lecture halls. He also emphasized the importance of launching regular awareness campaigns to instill a culture of energy conservation among students and preserve the faculty resources.
In light of the announcement released today by Tanta University and due to unstable weather conditions, Prof. Al-Garf confirmed that all legal and administrative alternatives will be available to accept student excuses for the day. This decision aims to ensure student safety, protect their academic rights, and ease any difficulties caused by the sudden wave of severe weather.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Al-Garf praised the efforts of the administrative staff in maintaining workflow despite challenging weather conditions, as well as the prompt response of the Engineering Department in implementing the energy-saving plan issued by the state and the university. This included reducing electrical loads and limiting lighting in corridors, offices, and administrative buildings without disrupting operations.
