Tanta University President Inaugurates the 10th International Conference of the Faculty of Business


Prof. Mohammed Hussein declares:
•    The conference is a response to President El-Sisi’s directives to prioritize “Advancing Digital Citizenship in Egypt” and localizing artificial intelligence technologies in Egypt.
•    The university has made significant progress in upgrading its digital infrastructure and supporting interdisciplinary research that integrates computer science with the business environment.
    Today, Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, inaugurated the 10th International Conference of Faculty of Business, titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Business Environment: Opportunities and Challenges”. The conference is held under patronage of Prof. Abdul Aziz Qunsowah, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in attendance of Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Abbas Al-Hefnawy, former President of Menoufia University; Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of the Faculty and Conference Chairman; Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information; Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Deputy Conference Chairman; Prof. Tariq Radwan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ibrahim Obeid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Conference Rapporteur; along with a number of academic staff and researchers from various Egyptian universities.

   At the beginning of his speech, Prof. Mohammed Hussain emphasized that the conference represents a conscious response and practical implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has placed the issue of “Advancing Digital Citizenship in Egypt” and localizing artificial intelligence technologies at the forefront of the state priorities. He expressed his great pleasure in participating in this scientific event, which responds to the demands of an era that recognizes only innovation and accepts only digital excellence as a standard for leadership.
   He added that Tanta University is committed to translating this leadership vision into tangible reality by preparing a generation of innovators and researchers capable of harnessing AI algorithms to serve production sectors and achieve a qualitative leap in the efficiency of the business environment, in line with the “New Republic”.
   The university president further explained that the vision of Tanta University goes beyond merely teaching these technologies; it aims to serve as a secure bridge through which scientific research is transformed into smart solutions that serve industry, Business, and services. He noted that the university has made significant strides in modernizing its digital infrastructure and supporting interdisciplinary research that integrates computer science with business, producing graduates who not only use technology but also contribute to its development and leadership in support of Egypt’s sustainable development vision (Egypt Vision 2030).
   He also extended his sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this distinguished scientific event, including the university partners from industry and business sectors, as well as experts who traveled to share their knowledge and expertise. He affirmed that the success of the conference reflects the strength of teamwork at Tanta University and serves as clear evidence that the university is steadily progressing toward becoming a fourth-generation university.
   For his part, Prof. Hatem Amin stated that the conference is held at a highly important time, as the world is witnessing rapid advancements in artificial intelligence technologies and their growing impact on various business fields. These advancements contribute to improving institutional performance, supporting decision-making, and enhancing competitiveness. He added that Tanta University is always keen to support applied scientific research, encourage innovation, and adopt modern technologies that contribute to sustainable development by providing a stimulating academic environment that brings together researchers, experts, and specialists to exchange knowledge and insights.


   In the same context, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf stressed that artificial intelligence is no longer just a technological option but has become the language modern era that shapes the future of survival. He explained that the conference aims to reinforce the vision of the faculty not merely keeping pace with change but striving to lead it. He reviewed the fundamental transformations imposed by AI in accounting, finance, marketing, and human resource management, where systems are shifting from simple execution tools to precise predictive engines based on data rather than impressions.
   He emphasized that the real challenge lies in the “wisdom of application,” not merely in possessing technology, noting that the human element will remain the leader of this system. He concluded by affirming the philosophy of the faculty of investing in minds to prepare leaders capable of pioneering a future labor market that has yet to fully take shape, stressing that the future is not to be awaited but to be created.
