Faculty of Business at Tanta University held today a ceremony to honor the outstanding students who participated in the library activities in the academic year 2024/2025. The honoring included the “Library Friends” student group, the winner of the best library illustration design; in addition to the winners of the titles of the outstanding reader and the outstanding borrower. The ceremony was held in attendance of Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Faculty Dean; Prof. Tariq Radwan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Hanea Mahariq, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Tariq Abdel Hamid, Member of Judging Panel for the Best Library Illustration Design; Prof. Gehan Abu Gazia, Member of the Evaluation Committee for the “Library Friends” student group; as well as many academic staff, Mrs. Eman Al-Safty, General Manager of the University Libraries; Dr. Mahmoud Adham, Secretary-General of the Faculty; and Mrs. Amany Al-Morsy, General Manager of the Faculty Library.
For his part, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf expressed his happiness with the continuous successes and diverse activities of the library, which reflect the students’ interest in it. He affirmed that the faculty library is one of the largest and most prestigious scientific libraries at the university, which is a source of pride and appreciation for the faculty students who remain committed to reading in the age of the internet.
After that, a speech was delivered by Prof. Tariq Abdel Hamid on behalf of the judging panel for the “Best Library Illustration Design” competition, and another speech was delivered by Dr. Gehan Abu Gazia on behalf of the evaluation committee for the "Library Friends" student group. Mrs. Eman El-Safty, General Manager of University Libraries, also gave a speech highlighting the role, activities, and impact of the library of Faculty of Business among all university libraries.
The ceremony included a video presentation of the winning design by the student/ Eman Al-Gohary, registered in class four, Accounting and Finance Department. Her design won the first prize in the library illustration design competition. She also shared her unique experience in the competition.
Additionally, a video showcasing the activities of the "Library Friends" student group was presented. Student Amira Yasser, registered in class four in the English Division, gave a speech on behalf of the student group, outlining their initiatives and active participation with fellow students.
The event also featured a special segment of religious chanting and spiritual songs performed by the student/ Mohammed Ibrahim and the performer/ Noursin Amin, which met great admiration and engagement by the audience. The ceremony concluded with honoring outstanding participants.
