The activities of the 10th International Scientific Conference of Faculty of Business concluded successfully. The conference was held under the title: “Artificial Intelligence in the Business Environment: Opportunities and Challenges”, at Triumph Plaza Hotel in Cairo, with wide international participation.
The conference was organized under patronage of Prof. Abdul Aziz Qonsowah, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and was attended by Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of the University; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Yasser Al-Garf, Dean of the Faculty and Conference Chairman; Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Deputy Conference Chairman; Prof. Tariq Radwan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Ibrahim Obaid, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Conference Rapporteur, along with a distinguished group of scholars and researchers.
Over the course of five intensive scientific sessions, the conference featured in-depth discussions addressing the intersection of technology with management, accounting, and economics. These deliberations culminated in the announcement of 23 strategic recommendations, forming a roadmap for smart digital transformation, summarized as follows:
First: Strategic and Economic Level
• Adopting AI applications as a core pivot to support comprehensive digital transformation.
• Enhancing the use of AI tools for risk prediction at both corporate and national economic levels.
• Studying the impact of AI on labor markets and increasing Egypt’s share in the global AI market to boost GDP growth and exports.
• Establishing comprehensive regulatory and legislative frameworks to govern AI use, ensuring transparency and data protection.
Second: Development of Scientific Research and the University System
• Formulating an integrated research strategy that promotes interdisciplinary research, linking AI with medical, engineering, and business fields.
• Strengthening collaboration between universities and institutions to transfer research outcomes into practical applications.
• Revising faculty development programs and course descriptions to align with AI-related skills.
• Raising student awareness of the risks of overreliance on AI and its impact on cognitive awareness and critical thinking.
• Utilizing specialized tools to assess the extent to which postgraduate researchers (Master’s and PhD) rely on AI in preparing their research.
Third: Development of Professional Disciplines (Accounting, Management, Insurance, Statistics)
• Updating accounting standards to align with automation and retraining professionals for analytical and advisory roles.
• Supporting smart management based on predictive analytics and developing intelligent HR management applications.
• Leveraging smart technologies to analyze economic indicators and improve the accuracy of statistical forecasting models.
• Enhancing the quality of insurance services through intelligent digital customer service applications.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Yasser Al-Garf expressed his hope that these outcomes would be implemented by institutions, government bodies, and companies, affirming that Faculty of Business at Tanta University will continue to lead in supporting Egypt’s future vision and fostering a smart business environment.
