On December 28th, 2006, the ministerial decree No. 3272 was issued as for applying programs of financial and commercial transactions according to the system of open education at Faculty of Commerce at Tanta University in the following specializations.
- Business Administration (Subspecialties: production and industrial administration, finance and investment, marketing)
- Accounting (Subspecialties: accounting and auditing, cost accounting, governmental and tax accounting)
- Insurance (Subspecialties: public insurances, social insurances and life insurances)
- A student has to pass successfully a number of curricula in 120 accredited hours in addition to 5 hours of practical training.
Scientific Degree:
Bachelor's degree of Commerce in Financial and Commercial Transactions in the following specializations:
- Business Administration: production and industrial administration, finance and investment, marketing
- Accounting: accounting and auditing, cost accounting, governmental and tax accounting
- Insurance: public insurances, social insurances and life insurances

Registration Conditions:
1- Gaining one of the following certificates:
- General Secondary Certificate or an equivalent one .
- A certificate of technical diplomas according to the system of 3 or 5 years and equivalent certificates
- A University certificate (bachelor's or licentiate)
2-Passage of five years at least after the date of gaining General Secondary Certificate, its equivalent, technical diplomas or their equivalents

Regulations of Study and Exams
- A student is granted the Bachelor's degree in Financial and Commercial Transactions in the following specializations:
- Business Administration (Subspecialties: production and industrial administration, finance and investment, marketing)
- Accounting (Subspecialties: accounting and auditing, cost accounting, governmental and tax accounting)
- Insurance (Subspecialties: public insurances, social insurances and life insurances)
A student has to pass successfully a number of curricula in 120 accredited hours in addition to 5 hours of practical training.
- Registration in curricula is based on the fact that each curriculum equals 3 accredited hours.
- A student can register in curricula of the level by completing the number with the curricula he would like to register for with the following conditions:
- A student has to fulfill the prerequisites for each of those curricula
- The period of the term is sixteen weeks
- There is a written exam in all curricula. The time allowed for the exam is two hours for each curriculum. The full mark is twenty and the minimum mark is ten.

- A student fails the curricula in which he gets less than 10 marks.
- A student goes to the higher academic level if he passes eight curricula at least in the academic level he is enrolled at.
Acceptance of Overseas Students
:
Incoming students can be accepted based on the same general conditions through legitimate channels and according to applied procedures.
Required Papers:
- Application form
- Certificate of academic qualification or success form
- Certificate of birth or its official copy.
- As for incoming students (not Egyptians), they have to present the approval from the embassy of their country when joining the program
Study and Exam Fees:
Egyptian Students
- The envelope of joining the program for the first time is 50 EGP in the period of normal registration and 75 EGP in the period of late registration.
- Enrollment fees for the program of open education are 250 EGP and are paid once.

- • Fees for each academic curriculum is 150 EGP including:

120 EGP for books, tapes and CDs
20 EGP for periodical meetings and services
10 EGP for exam service
- Administrative charges of 20% are subtracted from entitlements when a student takes back the file after the period of normal registration.
- The central Administrative Board can make discount to sons of Tanta University employees and to some other categories based on a suggestion from the subordinate Administration Board.
Overseas Students
- The envelope of joining the program for the first time is 25 USD in the period of normal registration and 50 USD in the period of late registration.
- Enrollment fees for the program of open education are 500 USD and are paid once.
- Fees for each academic curriculum is 150 USD including:
• 125 USD for books, tapes and CDs
• 20 USD for periodical meetings and services
10 USD for exam service are added if the exam is held at the Faculty. The Administrative Board of Open Education determines the charge of exam if it is held in other places outside the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- 20% for Administrative charges are subtracted when a student takes back the file after dates of normal registration.
- Based on a suggestion from subordinate Administrative Board at the Faculty, the central Administrative Board can consider reduction of fees for overseas students from some Arab countries.
